Week 2 - Winter Retreat
meet the energy of winter
If you’re following along and participating in the Winter Retreat, week 2 is my favourite … we meet the energy of winter.
Sometimes, I think we’ve forgotten how to listen. Sure we listen with our physical ears and intake information with our physical sense. School taught us facts and the importance of memorizing them, not necessarily to think critically. There is so much more we can experience with our senses.
This is why in the second week of the Winter Retreat we are entering the liminal space to experience the energy of winter with all our senses … the physical ones and the unseen ones alike.
It is my favourite type of work to “catch” the frequency of the energy I am working with. It’s by getting to know Winter at the deeper level we can begin to form a relationship with it.
Where we once saw a complaint for its harsh conditions, we might see Winter’s gifts with more compassion. I’m not only talking about physical winter. I’m talking about the inner rhythm your psyche will inevitably move into. It’s a cycle after all, and you, my dear, cannot remain in perpetual bloom. You will wilter. You will need to regroup in what is the most nourishing phase of the cycle if you let it.
But it all begins with a willingness to explore this state of being and giving it a chance to offer its gifts in full.
STEP 1
Without further ago, hop inside the winter retreat and be ready to drop in energy space to meet the archetype of Winter.
Winter Retreat MODULE 2 - Meditation: Meet the Rhythm Keeper, the archetype of winter, and embody its gifts
Regardless if it’s physically winter outside, or you are moving through your inner winter season, inside the Winter Retreat you’ll find a seasonal immersion with activities, exercises, and meditations with explorations to work with your energy capacities, harness your gifts, embrace your shadows, and dare to dream.
This post is part of a weekly series where we move through the Winter Retreat: Dreaming in the Dark. You can subscribe either monthly or annually to join us.

from the underworld with love,

What a beautiful idea...I like how you articulate it. We all have a winter season, yes. But I never thought about it. It's the one season I don't want to arrive.
